Get x-rays on site following the recommendation of our medical providers. Our technicians complete your x-ray quickly – it typically takes just a few minutes, depending on the area being examined.

What you can expect during an x-ray:

• Before: Patients may be asked to wear loose-fitting clothing that doesn’t contain metal (like zippers, buttons, or snaps) near the area being imaged. Most of the time is spent ensuring you’re in the correct position and the equipment is set up for accurate imaging. You will likely be asked to wear a lead apron or shield to protect certain areas of the body from unnecessary exposure to radiation, especially for X-rays of the chest or limbs.
• During: You may be asked to stand or lie down so the affected area is properly aligned with the digital x-ray plate. We will do everything we can to ensure your comfort and safety during the x-ray. The imaging process takes around five to 15 minutes.
• Procedure: A technician will take the x-ray, which will later be interpreted by a radiologist. X-rays can show breaks, damage, some infections, deformities, obstructions, swelling, and more.
